Others would reappear in "I, Mudd", and "Requiem For Methuselah", not to mention Lieutenant Commander Data, his brother Lore, his daughter Lal, his mother Dr. Juliana Tainer and his prototype brother B-4 from the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episodes "Datalore", "Brothers", "Descent, Part II", "The Offspring", "Inheritance" and "Star Trek Nemesis" respectively.
	First instance of a "red-shirt death."
	The androids on Exo III use the hand lasers from "The Cage" and "Where No Man Has Gone Before".
	Roger Korby's picture in the Enterprise library shows him wearing a "Where No Man Has Gone Before" type tunic.
	The android Kirk makes reference to George Samuel Kirk, who would later appear in "Operation-- Annihilate!" He also makes reference to three sons, but only one is seen in the latter episode.
	Kirk refers to Mr. Spock as "half-breed." He would later use the same insult in "This Side of Paradise".
	Ted Cassidy, who plays Ruk, played Lurch in "The Addams Family" television series. Carel Struycken, who plays Mr. Homm on "Star Trek: The Next Generation", played Lurch in "The Addams Family" movie.
