	The Klingon weapons and communicators had previously been used as the equipment for the Eminians in "A Taste of Armageddon".
	Jon Collicos, famous for his portrayal of Count Baltar in "Battlestar Galactica", plays Commander Kor. Kor would later reappear in "The Time Trap" in "Star Trek: The Animated Series", although he'd be voiced by James Doohan. Collicos would return to the role in the "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" episodes "Blood Oath", "The Sword of Kahless" and "Once More Unto the Breach".
	The Organians prediction that the Federation and the Klingon Empire would become friends proved true, as demonstrated by the alliance formed in "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country".
