	Due to budget constraints, the Klingon ship model had to be used as the Romulan ship model. It was explained in terms of canon that the Romulans were using Klingon designs.
	In "Leonard Nimoy's 'Star Trek' Memories" television special, Nimoy mistakenly claimed that he applied the Vulcan Death Grip to Dr. McCoy instead of Captain Kirk.
